All-Star Game Reactions
All I have to say is wow. I know I was critical of the game in the past, but that goes out the window. First, the incredible HR Derby, featuring a masterful performance, by Josh Hamilton. And then the game. As a baseball fan, it was great to see all of the living legends on the field. Bring in George Steinbrenner, and the night is complete(along with my goosebumps). Then, the 15 inning marathon, which continued to amaze me. Dan Uggla three errors. Aaron Cook, pitching in and out of jams. Nate McLouth throwing out Dioner Navarro at home. Russell Martin's defensive genius. George Sherrill, baffling all hitters. And then, as if the game wasn't climatic enough, Justin Morneau, barely slides ahead of Brian McCann's tag at home. I think this game changed my mind on All-Star games. It was a terrific week, complete with legends, hall-of-famers, and a even more legendary game.
