AFL done for ’09?
In terms of economic times, the AFL is feeling the pinch. Reportedly, they are shutting down the operation for the '09 season. The AFL says otherwise:
"Despite rumors and reports to the contrary, all AFL teams are continuing to work towards ArenaBowl XXIII. As it has previously stated, the AFL continues to work on long-term structural improvement options," a statement by the league said
We'll see. Personally, I don't get the AFL. I guess I can kind of see the excitement, the high scores, but, to me, it's not football. It's a gimmick. I wouldn't be sad to see it go.
