NFL Free Agency in Review
NFL Free Agency started off with a bang--Albert Haynesworth got $100 million to sign with the Redskins. So without further ado, here are my winners and losers.
WINNERS:
Giants
The signings of Michael Boley, Chris Canty and Rocky Bernard solidify a defense that didn't need solidifying. Teams will not like facing this defense.
Jets
Bart Scott and Lito Sheppard add to a pretty good defense. Bart Scott should become the emotional leader of the team.
Chiefs
Matt Cassel for a second round pick. Not bad. They're now free to solidify holes on defense. Nice job by Scott Pioli to get Mike Vrabal in the deal too.
Seahawks
TJ Houshmandzadeh. Seattle is rejoicing.
Washington
Even though they spent a ton of money on Haynesworth and DeAngelo Hall, they are both great football players who make the team better.
Bills
They got TO. Sure, he's divisive. But he can play.
LOSERS
Eagles
Didn't get a suitable replacement for Brian Dawkins
Broncos
Although they ended up with Dawkins, they alienated Jay Cutler. Not a good move.
Cowboys
Will have a hard time finding the missing production from TO
It was a pretty fun weekend for NFL Free Agency, with a ton of rumors. Time will tell if the moves work out for the teams involved.
