What To Make of the Cutler Situation
I like Jay Cutler. I do. I think he's a good-not great- QB. I think he has the potential to be a perennial Pro Bowler. However, I'm not liking his attitude. With all the McDaniels-Cassel-Cutler drama, I've lost some respect for Cutler. It's fine to want to be traded. And maybe the Broncos messed up by not telling him of their interest in Cassel. However, a QB, a captain, a post-Elway savior, should not go public with his remarks. Maybe I'm from the old-school. I like players with high character, and players who want to win. Cutler doesn't want to win. He wants to feel the love. I'll take a player who wants to win over Cutler any day.
BY the way, the WBC ended, with Japan beating South Korea (for some reason, Word Press isn't letting me link , but the story is on ESPN.) I think it cements Japan as a baseball power. But I want to see the US more competitive. I don't know to do it. Maybe play more small ball. But I think Americans would be more interested if their team won. Just a thought.
