Who Do You Want in a Big Game?
Baseball's midway point is almost upon us, and a couple of pitchers have separated themselves from the pack: Tim Lincecum, Roy Halladay, Felix Hernandez, and Zack Grienke. All of these guys have had tremendous seasons so far. But which guy would you want in a Game 7? Let's discuss:
Tim Lincecum: His crazy motion continues to fool people. He throws hard, and he has a killed changeup. He's never really been in a big game before. But, his stuff is so good it might not matter.
Roy Halladay: The most experienced of the group, he's now the subject of trade rumors He has tremendous stuff, and always seems to pitching a complete game.
Felix Hernandez: Like Lincecum, his stuff is tremendous, in the top of the league. They don't call him King Felix for no reason. He's exuberant, exciting to watch. He might be single-handedly keeping the Mariners in the playoff race.
Zack Grienke: The breakout star of this season, going the first month or so without giving up a run. Pitching in Kansas City he's not as well known, but he is one of the best in the game.
So who would I pick: Grienke has the least experience, and is pitching on a small stage. He's out. It's a toss up between Hernandez and Lincecum. I prefer Lincecum. So Lincecum or Halladay. I have to take Halladay. I'm taking him mainly on experience. He has the most out of all these guys combined. That said, I would feel comfortable with all these guys in a Game 7.

Give me Lincecum. Yeah, Halladay is great, but Lincecum has outstanding stuff. He’s almost unhittable. And Halladay, I feel, can be hit. All these guys are great, though
