In Milwaukee
I'm in Milwaukee. So far, so good. Coming from New York, you expect a certain brashness from the locals. Not here. On the airplane, we were treated to warm, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Not bad, right? When we got here, we ate at a great place called Byron's Bistro. The hospitality was almost too good. But that's a good thing. Good burgers and fries too. After lunch, we headed back to the hotel for a quick nap, then headed to Miller Park for Brewers vs Braves. Miller Park is gigantic, but when you walk in, there's a certain coziness. We were lucky to had great seats( for about 10 times less for two tickets than they would be at Yankee Stadium for 1), and watched the game. The Brewers lost, but the crowd never wavered. The sausage race was awesome and fun.The food was good. I tried bratwurst for the first time-- and loved it. Also of note, the Brewers fans had the most coordinated wave I've ever seen. All 4 decks were in unison.
Tomorrow is German Fest. Should be fun. I'll try to check in tomorrow
