Our Long National Nightmare Is Over
No, I'm not talking about Richard Nixon. I'm talking about the Detroit Lions, who've won their first game after losing 19 in a row. 19 in a row. That's unfathomable. Of course, they went 0-16 last year. But in a city that has gone through so much, that no one seemed to want to go near, they get a little lift. Maybe this lift will only last for a week. But hey, sometimes that's all a city needs. I'm not saying this one win will bring Detroit back to prosperity. But it can't hurt. Congrats Detroit. You've earned it.
