A-Rod: True Yankee?
Is Alex Rodriguez a true Yankee? Sure seems that way. With a game tying home run yesterday against the Twins in the bottom of the ninth inning, A-Rod did what fans have been hoping for since he arrived in New York: Hit in the postseason. So far, he is batting .500 with a homer and 5 RBIs. Yankee fans have never seen that from him.
Fans talk about players "earning their pinstripes", or becoming a "true Yankee". Is this the time that A-Rod has earned his stripes? Is he a True Yankee? I think so. And I think he will continue to earn it for the rest of the playoffs.
