Today is a bit of a milestone. Today, The Blog of Champions turns 2. It's been a great ride. This blog has been the launching point for so many great things that have happened to me the past couple years. It's hard to imagine that 2 years ago today, I decided to start blogging. It's even harder to imagine that when I started blogging 2 years ago today, that my blogging career would take off.
So, thank you. For visiting. For reading. For telling a friend. I'm so grateful.

How To Help In Haiti
More than 100,000 people are dead in the earthquakes in Haiti. For a little perspective click on the link here. (Warning: link is pretty graphic).
Luckily, there are many ways to help. The easiest way is to text a $10 dollar donation, charged to your phone bill, to the Red Cross. Text HAITI to 909-99. Apparently, there’s been over $1,000,000 dollars donated. It takes two seconds. I’ve done it myself. You can also donate through Yele.org, an aid organization started by Haitian native Wyclef Jean, or text Yele to 501-501, to donate $5 dollars to Yele, charged to your phone bill. It’s The Economy, Stupid!
This afternoon, I ventured to my local Target. My mission: Some early holiday shopping, soap and shampoo. I didn't expect it to be crowded. But, after 20 minutes of searching for a parking spot, the worst had come: It was packed. Absolutely packed. Venturing into the children's toy section was beyond a nightmare. Now,normally this is awful. But, with the economy the way it is, this is a great sign. Couple this with the recent job numbers and our recovery is starting to look a little bit brighter!

I could write a sappy post about what I'm thankful for, but since you'll see thousands of those today, I'll spare you. Just know this: I'm very thankful for my family, friends, and my life.

I've been using Pandora lately. As you may know, Pandora takes a song or artist you like, and makes a "radio station" from similar music. It's great. It's free.

So guess what? Some good economic news! The GDP rose 3.5% in the third quarter! This is great news. It also means, technically, the recession is over. A recession is when the GDP declines for a certain period of time. When it rises, technically, we're out of it. Of course, people looking for jobs are not going to find this news encouraging. Until the unemployment rate is to an acceptable number, we're still in a recession. But technically, we're out of it. Woohoo!!
Fun With Tabs!
I've downloaded Google Chrome for Mac OS X (as well as for XP) and I can say that I am in love with it. Honestly. So much better than anything out there. A great feature is tabbed browsing (which all browsers have, but just works better on Chrome). Tabs come up, so articles or web pages are in the same window. Fun With Tabs! is a new feature that aims to clean by tab bar up. I end up having 10 tabs with articles I want to read, but never do. So I'll post them here. Mmkay?
